I've done the research on this, and there is actually NO difference between a lab-grown diamond and one out of the ground. A jeweler can't tell the difference, certainly your fiance won't be able to. Plus, you can be sure it isn't a blood diamond.
Sure, why not. Lab diamonds are still "real" diamonds. As far as I understand, the only difference between the two are the process through which they are created: one through geology, and the other through man-made process. Apparently some gemologists cannot even tell the difference.
Lab diamonds are synthetically created but this is imperceptible to the casual looker. They can be just as impressive, if not more, than natural diamonds.
It depends. You will definitely save a lot of money if you choose the lab-created gem. You won't have to worry about chipping or losing it if you buy the artificial diamond. The vast majority of people won't be able to tell the difference. On the other hand, you'll know it's a fake.
They are a cheaper alternative to real diamonds. A person would not see the difference just by looking, but a Jeweler would be able to see the difference.
If interested in cosmetic appearances only, yes. A man made(lab)diamond has the same appearance as a natural diamond and would generally be suitabe for most applications. Just don't try this for an engagement ring!
A normal individual cannot tell the different between a real diamond and a lab diamond, so if you do not care if you have a knockoff, buy the cheaper version.
I personally think you should not buy a lab diamond, the reason I believe you should not buy a lab diamond is the fact that times are very hard, and you could go without that for right now. You can give that money to a family that is in need, who could really need that money.
