Brown is old blood - nothing at all to worry about. If your period is late, it was probably caused by that. Otherwise... no, there's still nothing much to worry about. If it's also heavier or lighter than normal, then there's a slim chance it's something. Very, very slim.

No, you shouldn't worry. Brown blood is usually older blood that's been shed from the uterine lining for a few days, and is typical at the beginning and end of a cycle, when your flow is light. When flow is heavier, the blood exits the body faster, which is why the blood gets more red on heavier days.

Usually period blood is red in color. If it is brown and smelling bad/foul,its a little matter of concern, its because of some fungal infection. If you are feeling itchy then need to consult a gyneacologist immediately. Before that wear cotton under clothing. Clean with luke warm water if with some disinfectol that reduce itching.

brown blood simply means old blood and is usually harmless. Most women will see brown blood if they are nearing the end of their period. It usually starts out light pink, turns red and then brown. If you haven't checked yourself in a few hours, the blood may have been red, but turned brown before you saw it.
