Should I be scared if my hemoglobin is low?

My doctor has not told me that much about it.

No. You should consider an iron supplements which you take every day. The only problem low hemoglobin levels could pose is if you undergo high-blood-loss surgery.

You should not be scared if your hemoglobin is low. If it was a serious matter then your doctor would have put you in the hospital.

Different conditions can cause low heomglobine. Leukemia can produce low hemoglobine. Malnutrition can also cause low hemoglobine. Regardles of the cause, normal levels of hemoglobine are necessary for living.

Hemoglobin is the blood marker that measures iron. It also gives blood its red color. Ask questions and have your doctor do some investigation. The reason may be insignificant.

I have low hemoglobin, but high protein and iron, kidneys and liver fine. I had blood transfusion and C.A.T. scan - next is bone marrow biopsy. I'm scared.  add a comment
