Your preschooler's belly might just be large as a result of overfeeding. The problem results when that belly is hard, signifying a blockage or a significant amount of gas. If the child is exhibiting a significant amount of pain, take them to a doctor immediately, or an emergency room.

If the belly is hard or distended, tender to the touch, or accompanied by other symptoms such as discoloration, or fever, you should ask your doctor this question.

No need to be concerned that your little one has a big belly. Preschoolers have growth spurts and get chubby then they get taller and thin out over again though toddler years.

Not at all, chances are it is still just baby fat and he or she will out grow it when they shoot up which happens around age five.
