You should not be highly concerned about the fact that your ferret is chewing on weird things because that is a normal thing that ferrets do. But, I do think that you should be concerned with the fact that he/she is not eating and instead choosing to chew on things. Take your animal to the vet.

You should be very concerned. This needs to stop as soon as possible to ensure that your ferrat is getting the nutrients neccessary to remain healthy. It is suggested that you keep a journal of recommended food your ferret seems to enjoy and keeps him happy. Then make sure to stock up on this food.

No, they don't eat much, they tend to chew weird stuff because their teeth need to be ground down. You might want to buy firmer ferret chow and some chew toys (wood ones are best) and not let the ferret out without supervision. If they want to grind their teeth down, they will chew anything!

Consult your vet just to be sure there's not a serious problem. As long as the ferret is eating and defecating every day, there shouldn't be a problem. Ensure there is plenty fresh water as well as food, as this encourages them to eat more. They're notorious for chewing on everything, and stealing things.
