Yes, you should add the start and end date (month and year) to work, volunteer, internship, etc. experience you want to include on your resume. This info is useful to potential employers - it indicates how experienced you are, and possibly how reliable you are.

Traditionally, resumes show the dates you worked for previous employers and year of college graduation, if applicable. If you are older with a long work history, however, leave out dates that reveal your age to avoid age discrimation. Don't state the year you graduated and only list jobs held in the past 15 to 20 years.
