Should Christians read "Catcher in the Rye"?

After reading catcher when I was 16 I started maturing in my way of thinking and acting and it actually was one of the first steps down thebroad to me truly finding Jesus believe it or not. But that's just my experience. Yours may he different but it's a goodbook.

There is no reason for Christians to avoid any topic. The Bible is not afraid to tackle any subject. Although Catcher in the Rye contains much language that might make some Christians uncomfortable, there is something wonderful about a boy who wants to protect his sister, as Holden Caufield does.

I think anyone could read it. I don't think there is anything wrong with reading it. But you should ask the pastor at the church.
