There are young adult sized "overnight" underwear with special padding. I would suggest seeing a doctor to check for any undlying medical issues.

Until the reason (medical or psychological) for his bedwetting is known, he has a need for overnight wetness protection. There are alternatives out there now to "diapers" that are designed for older children. "Goodnights" has a large range of sizes, up to around 120 lbs, and are designed to look more like underwear.

Before doing so it is necesary for parent and child to discuss the use of night diapers. The child maybe against the idea and the parent sould try not to force it. If the child agrees than okay, use the diapers.
