On my Stihl, how do I make a carb adjustment?

You have to get to the idle screws located through the ports on the air filter cover. They are on the left hand side and you stick a small screwdriver in to make the change.

It varies with every model, but many use the "H" screw to adjust the carburetor. However, I would check the user manual if you have it for your specific instructions. If you don't have them, you can go to the Stihl website and download it.

Depending on the model of Stihl you own, you should have two adjusting screws. A high speed adjusting screw and a low speed adjusting screw. Depending on your problem you can adjust one of these. Make sure that you do not turn the screws more than a 1/4 of a turn before checking to see if your problem is fixed.
