You want to remove the starter? Restrain your WaveRunner on the ground, open the boat up nice and wide to expose the engine, grab and detach the motor and yank it out, and then finally reach around the two bolts holding the starter in and just rip it out.

the starter is located in the engine compartment. you have to remove the engine cover to see the engine. the starter is located near the flywheel.
