motorcycle

My motorcycle lurches (clicking noise, then momentary loss of acceleration before catching again) at low speeds. What's wrong?

It's a 1991 Suzuki 750.

It sounds like you're lugging the engine. Try downshifting and accelerating in a lower gear. You might also check the wear on the chain and sprockets. Finally, it could be a worn clutch.

I can think of a few things. Check your chain tension and adjust if neccessary and check all the teeth on your sprockets. Another thing and this is most likely your problem, your clutch plates and basket are worn and need replaced. Take off the clutch cover and look for burnt clutch plates and grooves in ur basket
