Most jeeps do and its hard to get rid of. Start by running a very high quality fuel cleaner through the system. Make sure your valve cover gasket has no leaks at all, even the smallest leak will lower the oil pressure. If nothing helps you may want too rebuild the head with new lifters.

first, be sure the noise is from the lifters. There are many engine problems that can make a similar ticking noise. Switching to a thicker viscosity oil may help quiet them. If that does not work, lifters may need replacement.

Typically all you need to do to fix noise lifters is to do a valve adjustment. Either look online or buy a manual to get a step by step process.

you need to check and see if the lifters are getting oil. also the lifters may need to be adjusted.
