My Janitrol furnace burner keeps going out. What should I look for?

You can check both the flame sensor or the thermocouple on the unit. If either of these items are dirty or broken, it will continue to shut your burner off. These safety devices on your furnace burner need to be examined and possibly replaced by a professional, but they are relatively inexpensive to replace.

Make sure the burner is clean and free from dirt. You can also check to make sure there is no kink in the gas line.

I would think about taking this burner to your nearest dealer. It seems like there might be a possible wiring issue.
