My freeze plug is leaking on my Buick 3.8. What should I do?

If it cannot be tapped back into place then you may need to have a new one installed. It may be possible to do it yourself with the right tools.

You can also use high temp Teflon tape (plumbing thread sealer) to temporarily stop the leak then check at an auto parts store for a replacement plug asap.

A regular compression check should be made. Check whether the spark plug wires are connected correctly. The exact fact is that if your engine works correctly then all the plug wires must be extremely close on. It is impossible from the vantage point. Check your firing order is exactly correct or not.......... .....

If your freeze plug seems to be leaking then your will need to have it repaired or if its too bad then replaced.
