Dogs only have sweat glands for cooling purposes on the bottoms of their paws. Dogs mainly cool their bodies by panting. Excessive moisture from sweat on the bottom of its feet could indicate the dog is suffering excess heat exposure, especially if the dog is also panting heavily. If excess moisture occurs elsewhere on its body, consult a veterinarian.

Dogs don't sweat, they pant. If your dog is "sweating" then it sounds like something is seriously wrong. If your dog is damp a lot are your sure it's not just getting wet with water somehow?

If your dog is sweating it is normal and okay. The main reason a dog may sweat is because they are trying to cool their body temperature which may be accompanied by panting. The other reason they may be sweating is to release pheromones from their body. Yes dogs do sweat but I would watch out for excessive sweating.

Dogs do not have sweat glands like humans do and do not sweat like humans do. If you think that your dog is sweating, you need to consult a veterinarian because something serious could be going on with your dog. It's abnormal for a dog's body to produce moisture such as sweat.

If your dog is exercising moderately, it's okay, but if he is at rest and sweating, it could be that he has a breathing or circulation problem.
