If you are not having a fever or any serious complications, a diet rich in organic fruits and vegetables can help your "sluggish" gallbladder. Some vegetables to try would be beets, green beans, okra, cucumbers, and sweet potatoes. Although foods high in fat should be avoided, avocados have good fat that help the gallbladder.

Beets, beet juice and vegetable juices are great. Green teas and honey are also good. Also eat raw vegetables. My mother ate more fish too when she had gallbladder problems.

Your gallbladder could have stones causing it's sluggishness. The gallbladders job is to process fats. To avoid overworking it in the future, avoid fatty, greasy foods.
