Remove the lower dish rack. You should be able to reach the trap cover now. The cover may have a couple of screws holding it down. Remove the cover and clean out debris from resevoir and clean trap screen.

Your trap is remove-able, and the specs are in your manual. If you don't have your manual, it is almost always free online. Also be sure that you have checked and cleaned your spray head- it can be removed, clean with a vinegar mixture, and poke out the holes with a small nail or pipe cleaner(I suggest the pipe cleaner)

Most dishwashers food traps are located in the bottom of the dishwasher interior. Just remove the trap and clean it. Replace and run dishwasher.

Consult your instruction booklet to find the location of the food trap. Take out the bottom dish rack and remove the sprayer arm. Lift out and clean the food trap, or wipe it out with a cloth. Replace the parts.

If this seems to have happening to you, you will have to first remove the actual trap. Once the trap is removed you can empty it in about 30 seconds.
