My computer monitor turns on and the light is green. Why is the monitor screen black?

First ensure the monitor is plugged into the computer, and the computer is powered on. If the computer has not been shut down, reboot computer, and power monitor on/off.

Make sure you have plugged the plugs in the direct ports. Your monitor may have also overheated or may have been exposed to too extreme of temperatures (hot and cold).

The obvious answer is to this question is to plug your monitor back in. If your monitor is plugged in, check for bent pins in the connector.

Maybe the monitor cable is not plugged in properly. or Maybe its not the monitor, it maybe the tower itself.
