My Chevy Cavalier will not stay running. What could be wrong?

It could be due to a fault fuel pump. It could also be due to bad fuel injectors or possibly a clog in the fuel line somewhere. If it slowly shuts down when started, it could be bad spark plugs.

My guess is that if it has a lot of miles on it, the fuel delivery system is at fault. test by using the gas and keep it running

Quite often, a Chevy Cavalier will stall because of something as simple as a clogged fuel filter or clogged fuel line.

there could be a problem with the fuel injectors not supplying enough fuel. crack in the cam sensor. fouled spark plug or pluggs. bad plug wires. problem with the idle air control module. it could be a bad oxygen sensor.bad fuel pump or pump relay. a wire grounding out or not grounded,bad coil pack................
