My cell phone get wet, how do I fix it?

My cell phone got rained on, is there anything I can do?

If you dry the phone immediately there is a chance it can be salvaged. However if the water sits for a long time you may have to exchange it.

Wipe off as much moisture as you can. You can try placing the cell phone in a container of rice. Leave the container undisturbed for at least a couple of hours. The rice will absorb the moisture from the phone. Hopefully, this this will be enough to get your phone working! Good luck!

Do not turn your phone on or off! Remove the battery. Put the phone in a PAPER bag with a cup of rice. Set the bag on a WARM (low) setting of a heating pad, warming dish,etc. Not too hot & wait 2-3 before turning it back on!

Take the battery out and place the phone, opened, face down on a towel at least overnight but preferably 24 to 48 hours.

One trick of the trade that always works for wet cell phones is to put the cell phone in a bag of rice. The rice absorbs the moisture.
