If the interior lights wont go off its most likely because the sensors in the doors arnt contacting properly to signal them to turn off.

Try purchasing a lubricant from the car parts store, and applying it to the switches located in the door jams of the car. Over time these switches get dirty and stick. It that does not work you have a bad switch or circuit.

This requires a two stage fix. First remove all the offending light bulbs. Then ductape a small flashlight to the rear view mirror. All good old boys know this trick.

If it's the same lights as the dome lights, it may be a connection problem in the dome switch. Otherwise it may be a sensor in the doors. Most lights turn on when a door opens, so if the car thinks a door is still open it may stay on.

Check you light switch to make sure it isn't set to "on" first. Then check your door jamb switches. Check to see if there are recalls for this problem.
