It is likely that your power steering pump is starting to fail. It may also be as simple that you are low of power steering fluid but if this is the case you will likely have a bad pump shortly. I would check the power steering fluid and if this is O. K. it is time to get a new pump.

Check fuses and fluid levels. Then check that the power steering pump is functioning properly. Next verify that there isn't any debris in the system.

There could be a few things wrong. You might have damaged steering components, the alignment could be off, or your power steering system may have a problem. First thing to do is inspect the system making sure everything is there and function.

A couple of things could be causing this. Your power steering pump may be worn or low on fluid or the belt may be slipping on the pulley.
