My car door won't open, how do I fix it?

First, you will have to remove the door panel trim. The screws are hidden, make sure you have them all out before you try to pull the panel off. You will see a rod coming down from the door handles to the door latch. Just reconnect this rod and you're done.

Inside the door, there are linkages that open the door lock system. The link probably came off. Pull the door plastic off and have a look.

you may have to go inside the door to repair it. it sounds like the release arm is disconnected from the release handle.

Well if it won't open from either side you probably have a problem with the lock or the door latch. Remove the door panel and inspect all the door latch components for problems.

In order to fix the problem of not being able to open your door you will need to do a few things. You should probably oil your door first and then take apart next.
