My two year old tends not to want to eat much when she has strep, so lots of fluids, keep them hydrated. Popsicles and soft, cold foods are great soothers!

The best thing to do is to follow your doctors directions, give her popcicles and ice cream to help cool her throat and help to reduce the pain. Keep her fever down, put her in warm baths and keep her as comfortable as possible. Give her some time and be patient with her.

How do you know your 2-year-old has strep throat? Did you take them to the doctor? If you haven't that would be your first step.

I'm assuming you have tested to confirm strep. If so, it is important to complete the full antibiotic treatment, even is they are feeling better. Keep them home and away from other people. Avoid possible reinfection by cleaning anything that went in their mouth, including a toothbrush.
