Isn't "Finding Nemo" too depressing for children?

I mean the majority of the cast dies in the first 10 minutes!

I don't think so, because most children are viewing the film in a different way than adults. Most children love the colorful animals and silly characters. The story is really about a parent's love for their child, and that is certainly a good message to send to children. I hope you give the film another try.

Nemo doesn't even seem to know about his lost brothers and sisters, and the action of the movie is fun and exciting enough that kids watching it forget them too.

I don't think it is a depressing movie. From what I can remember the only characters in that movie that dies are Nemo's mom the other eggs. The rest of the movie is pretty lighthearted and comedic. It is a kid movie and I think most would like it.
