Yes, there is an Ozark Trail. By 1991 there were 200 miles extending from Castlewood State Park in St. Louis, MO to Missouri's southern border. Since then there have been many problems, but work continues on the trail to this day.

The famed Appalachian Trail has a "sister" trail--the Ozark Trail, which has been under construction in the Missouri Ozarks since 1981, and will be about 500 miles long when completed.
