Question by  prince (18)

Is there an ASVAB pretest?

I want to practice before I have to take the test at the MEPS.

Yes, there is. The best way to get a higher score is to ask your recuiter for one or take their pre test over (inital acessment) for practice.

Search online using "ASVAB pretest". The one from military dotcom is supposed to be good and is free. Check with your recruiter, he may know of one you can use.

Your recruiter should give you one to show you what the test will be like. If he or she doesn't mention it, you should bring it up. There are also a number of online resources you can access. You can use Google to find those, it won't be that hard.

There are review guides available for the ASVAB that show typical questions and formats. You should be able to find a copy of one at your local library or local bookstore.

There are no pre tests for the ASVAB that I know of. It is basically just an apptitude test and you don't have to be really book smart to take the ASVAB. It is all just basic knowledge and street smarts. You may be able to look at a military website and they may have something but doubtfull.
