I dont think it's much of a trend. Just a phase some teens will go through. Maybe they've seen some movies or something that got it into their head that smoking cigar's is cooler and safer then cigarettes. But for it being something that all teens will start doing is very unlikely.

I used to smoke cigars when I was that age. It was more enjoyable to sit back and talk to friends rather than puffing on a cigarette.
