The perimeter of a triangle is perimeter = a + b + c where a, b, and c are the length of each side. If you are given the coordinates of the vertices of the triangle (x1,y1), (x2,y2), (x3,y3) then the perimeter is perimeter = sqrt((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2) + sqrt((x3-x2)^2+(y3-y2)^2) + sqrt((x3-x1)^2+(y3-y1)^2)

The perimeter of a triangle is just the distance around the outside. So if you know the lengths of each of the sides, all you have to do is add them up. There are many formulas to help you figure out the lengths of the sides, with much less information than you would think.
