car repairs

Question by  anshul (8)

Is the repair of a Dodge Stratus something I can take on myself with little experience?

I've had pretty good luck with DIY projects.

Depends on what kind of repair you're talking about. Transmission and Engine problems I'd say no, as these are both dangerous and difficult. If we're talking about replacing fluids or broken glass and such I'd say a "novice" could indeed handle it, possibly even replacing a fuel pump wouldn't be out of your reach.

Oh yes. If you already have do it yourself experience you are ahead of alot of people. Light Maintenance like brakes, checking oil, water and fluids. You can change headlight bulbs. Change tires and check tire pressure. But heavy maintenence that has to do with drive train. motor or drive axel, transmition or motor no.

Some repairs could be completed by a novice mechanic while others require special tools and knowledge. So depending on what kind of repair your are dealing with it could say. You should go do some research. Look online for information or purchase a repair manual for that car and see if it is something you feel you can do.

It determines what kind you're talking about. I will say no if it has transmission, engine or fuel problems. Yes if fluids needs to be filled, broken glass, or knobs.

Yes you can, basic maintenance is the easiest part of working on the Dodge Stratus. It is easy to check your car's fluids and change the oil.
