No, but it is a great invention! I believe that mastering fire was the first invention, but it could also be early tools, such as spear heads or ax heads.

Archaeological evidence shows that simple stone tools, not the wheel, were the first inventions. The earliest known use of the wheel was around 3500 B.C. in Mesopotamia. The wheel was probably invented around 8000 B.C. but stone tools have been found that are many thousands of years older.

That depends on the definition of invention. The first wheel was beleived to be created due to an accident in which a boulder broke into a rounded shape and rolled. Early humans saw this as a way of moving large objects. However, one could argue that fire was the first invention, although it too was an accident cuased by lightinging.

It cannot be determined what the first invention was, but the first tool was likely a smashing or grabbiing tool.
