Pachira aquatica (scientific name), also known as money tree is not poisonous and is safe for pets. There are no known cases for its toxicity, but one should take precautions if the pet has ingested too many leaves or bark material. This may cause upset stomachs and contact dermititis if ingested in large amounts.

There have been no reported cases of a human or animal becoming ill from ingesting Pachira Aquatica. It should however be noted that this is a relatively new plant to the house plant trade and as such there may be toxic effects that have yet to be noted.

There are 24 sorts of Pachira and some of them are eatable and safe. Pachira Aquatica is one of them, it's fruits are not only safe but eatable. It's a very nice tree to decorate your household. Many people use it for making bonsai at home. The only disadvantage is that it grows slow.

The money tree is non toxic and safe for pets. It is recommended to keep pets and children away from your plants, though, just to be on the safe side. Although a non toxic plant, there are always some pets, like people, who may have allergies anyway.

The Pachira Aquatica is a pet friendly plant. It also produces nuts that can be eaten raw, or be ground into flour.

Yes it is safe for pets but I would not use this around the pets. Some pets could eat the plant. So therefore be very careful about where you store the plant.
