Now is not the best time to travel to Nigeria. If you would like to go then watch the news and be careful when you get there.

Unfortunately at this time due to high crime rates, it is not the safest to travel to Nigeria. If you do choose to, don't go alone.

Nigeria is as safe as it ever has been. Just like any african (developing nation) there are areas where are bes avoided for the traveller. But as long as you are sensible and not over trusting things should be ok. Particularly if you have a close friend liviing over there.

This depends on which area of Nigeria you want to travel to. There are travel warnings in effect against Nigeria - check for conflicts in the area your friend lives.
