It should be but that is one of those things that depends totally on you as the sonsumer.You can ask your garage they will give you input as well.

JDM motors do make more power on average but he cost of the engine and aftermarket will probably cost more than a built up domestic engine.

It can be the best but you may have to make some slight modifications to the new engine or it will not fit. You may also have to modify the trannsmission also.

Ebay is almost as good of a source for JDM engines because most of them already come with a guaranteed warranty. Although it can be safer to use actual established internet websites that have been used and reviewed by others. It is very important to do research when buying such a large item.
