It's an '05.

A 2005 Ford F150 is practically new. I would repair this vehicle so that I could drive it for another 20 years. The only problem is; what caused them to go bad in the first place?

Since it is still kind of new it may be worth saving. Especially if you do the repair on your own. This will save tons of money.
