Is it worth buying a Buescher Tru-Tone Trombone?

If you are buying it to play, I would say no. Unlike violins, which seem to get better with age, the quality of brass instruments begins to decrease significantly over the years, and such an old trombone will likely not be in fantastic shape and will require a lot of maintenance.

Buescher are a well regarded brass instrument company, and that extends to their trombones. That said you should always try out an instrument before buying, as there may be a sound that is unique to you, which is best met with another choice.

To give you an honest review of a Buescher Trombone It's not really worth it in my opinion. I've used them in the past, low quality, too expensive, poor resale-value.

The sound of this instrument is amazing. The craftsmanship of the the Buescher Trombones don't get any better. If you purchase one of these instruments you will have years and years of quality playing. I have bought two of these instruments from this company and I have never looked back. The best quality for the money.

The trombone is a good beginner's horn. It was a mass produced horn made in the USA during the 1900's. They aren't very collectable or worth a lot of money. If you want a good trombone, I'd suggest a Bach or a Yamaha trombone. It depends what kind of music you are using it for.

I found it to be a remarkable instrument that was easy to fit to whatever I was given to play. It responded well to my lead. I would recommend getting a newer mouthpiece, though.
