If your at your desk then I feel that it's not a problem, but I wouldn't walk around without shoes on at your workplace-too many unsafe thing can happen plus just think about the germs-yuck.

It is not professional to take your shoes off at work, unless you have your own office. If you don't, it may offend your co-workers.

Unless it is a shop floor requiring steel toed boots, it isn't against the rules. However, if this occurs where visitors or customers may see, you can inform the management that this has happened and creates an undue informal image. This is especially true if the person trims their nails or paints them at their desk.

Anyone who wants to remove their shoes at work should be at home! It is not appropriate or professional for any staff member to remove their shoes at the office or workplace. It is offensive to other staff members in close proximity and should not be tolerated.
