It depends on what you are using the epsom salt for. Epsom salt is good for lots of problems-for example, athletes foot. Epsom salt also is great for a relaxing bath. Some people do have skin sensitivity to epsom salt. If you have a skin reaction, stop using epsom.
Epsom salt used daily in your bath and for minor wounds are quite safe.
However when used recurrently for constipation or for colon cleansing, it can cause toxicity due to the magnesium content. Excess magnesium can cause breathing difficulty, weakness and lethargy. In fact some people have died of magnesium poisoning. Please be careful if you decide to use it.
If you mean for a soak, yes it is ok. But if you mean as a laxative, no it is not. It has a very high sodium content which can dehydrate. You can become dependent on laxatives which means you could be unable to go without a laxative long term.
