You can use bleach on shingles as long as it is well diluted. A solution of one part bleach to 2 parts water can be used on both wood shingles and composition shingles. If wood is stained or weathered the color may fade. Scrub area to be cleaned, let sit for 20 minutes and then rinse well.

Yes, it is safe to clean shingles with a mixture of bleach and water. Do not make too strong and rinse well after cleaning. The bleach will help to kill any algae, mold, moss or any other things that may be growing on the roof. You can buy commercial cleaners for cleaning your shingle roof.

Ranging from leaks, mold, and even debilitation. Clorox is used as a bathroom cleaner because of its corrosive nature.

It appears to be if you use a diluted solution with no more than 33% Clorox in water. This may fade wood shingles. Use this to scrub the desired area then rinse thoroughly in about 20 minutes.
