Is it right for a single mom to have to give up custody of her child?

Giving up a child is a difficult decision that no one hopes to ever face. It's not about whether it is "right," but rather what the single mom needs to do to provide the best life for her child. Given that she is in the position to make this decision, the last thing she needs is to be judged.

If the single mom is unable to take care of the child and another party can give the child a more beneficial life then it should be considered.
