Is it possible to have bad gasoline in your car?

If so, how can you tell?

Yes, it is possible to have bad gas in you car. The gas could be contaminated with either liquid or particulate components. By particulates we are describing what could be called "dirt". And by liquid contamination we could be describing what could be plain old water. Purchase your gas at a reputable source and the possibility of contamination becomes less.

1. Water in the gas tank will stop the engine soon after filling. 2. With low octane gasoline the engine will "ping" under load. 3. Too much alchol in the gas mixture can burn the engine valves leading to low engine compression.

Yes, you can get bad gas. The gas tank is low and the stuff on bottom get's sucked up. There is fluid you may put in the tank.

yes happened to me twice in last five years engine will run rough missfire lack of power, solution,first time i was on long trip so i was on freeway drove some of it off then diluted it with good gas vthis time only put $ 20 in so filled up
