Is it possible that little kids could be in love?

Or are they just imagining it?

Little children can definately feel love. They feel a deep sense of attachment to their mother, toys and other children. They don't however feel the romantic, hormonal kind of love that is associated with adulthood.

Young children can have crushes that seem like love. I remember a girl from the second grade that I had a strong crush on. It seemed like love to me at the time. The problem is that usually one matures faster than the other and they eventually drift apart. Children are still changing and usually not ready for love.
