Is it okay to send internet invitations?

I was hoping that in this day and age that internet invitations are okay.

It depends. If you want to invite people to a casual party or to a movie, it is okay to send an internet invitation. If you want to invite someone on a date, or some people to a wedding, a more traditional approach is preferred. That doesn't mean that an internet invitation cannot be formal or interesting.

Definitely! As long as they're just as well written as a real letter would be, why not? They're quick, easy, environmentally friendly and more likely to be remembered.

I have not seen a really invitation in a long time. I think it is our culture, everything is digital now.

Yes, sending invitations over the internet is a generally accepted method now. There are several ways to do it and they're all fine. The simplest is just emailing everyone. Another method is through Facebook, however this requires that the invitees have Facebook accounts. There are also websites that are dedicated to sending out invitations.
