There are various approaches to vegetarianism. Some people eat only fruit, vegetables, and grains. Some add milk products (lacto-vegetarians). Some add milk products and eggs (ovo-lacto-vegetarians). Others do eat fish. This is a personal decision. It depends on what you feel comfortable with.

Many vegetarians eat seafood, especially Indian and Asian Buddhists. (There are large Hindu / Indian fishing fleets, and Hindus are vegetarian.) Some vegetarians abstain from all meat, including sea food and shell fish.
