Is it normal to have a very heavy period after a d&c?

I had a d&c two days ago and my period is so heavy that I am changing my pad every hour or so.

What you are experiencing is probably not your period. It is not uncommon to have heavy bleeding, sometimes passing large clots, following a D&C. However, changing a bad every hour is a signal to call your doctor.

It's very common to have a heavy period following either a birth, a miscarriage or a D&C. If you think you're bleeding too much you should talk to your doctor.

It is very normal to have heavy bleeding after having a d&c procedure. The procedure is used to scrap the lining of the uterus and get anything in the uterus out that should not be there.
