Is it common for a breastfeed infant to spit up a good bit?

My infant seems to spit up a good bit, more than my first child did, as a result I am concerned that she is not getting enough nutrition.

Keep in mind that every child is different, it is very common for infants to spit up and could be a sigh of acid reflux

If your baby is still gaining weight and growing it should be of no concern, but you can always consult with your pediatrician.

Spitting up is very common and usually not a cause for concern. It usually appears to be a much larger amount than it actually is. Try feeding your baby small amounts more frequently. If you really think it is excessive, check with your pediatrician. Some babies, especially preemies, have reflux which can cause a lot of spitting up.
