Is it acceptable to use filling inside of a wedding cake?

My fiancee doesn't want a plain white cake for our wedding, but she's not sure if it's proper to use a fruit or other filling.

Fillings are acceptable for wedding cakes. The flavors of the filling could be consistent with the season of your wedding. An alternative would be to chose a flavor that goes with the menu planned for the ceremony. Another option would be to go cake tasting with your fiancee to pick the cake combination you both like best.

A Bride is a Bride is a Bride and can have any kind of cake she chooses at her wedding. I've been to 3 weddings, one very elegant, that had filling in the wedding cake. Delicious!

Yes, it is acceptable. Some of the best wedding cakes have fruit or some sort of cream filling. My wedding cake had a chocolate cream filling.

It is perfectly acceptable to use filling inside of a wedding cake, most people in fact do opt for filling. It adds an extra layer of flavor to the cake and makes it that much more enjoyable. Today with such elegant and extravagant cakes being made, many people prefer to add some sort of unique flavorful filling.

well, I guess there is nothing wrong if you will use some fruit filling in a wedding cake anyway you will just eat a few or a bit of a slice of it. and in the first place it was your wedding cake so, it was your choice...

Wedding cakes today can be as simple or creative as you would like. Cakes filled with mousse, custards, fruits and fruit purees are sophisticated, delicious and perfectly proper.
