Is HPV non-liquid-based testing effective 2 days before your menstrual cycle?

Yes it is. They do it just like they would do a pap smear. They take a swab and rub it on your cervix for a culture.

It is usually best to have testing done half way between one menstrual period and the next. However, as long as your period hasn't started the test should be effective.

It is best not to do this test right before or during your menstrual cycle. Results of PAP smears and other similar tests may come back as "false positive" if they are done right before the menstrual cycle. It's best to wait at least a week after your period.
