Honor box vending is not a good idea. Several companies have good employees that mean well that do not get the money into the box on time or they forget. Also, people are at times dishonest and you can end up losing out on a lot of your profit. Some may pay, some will steal for sure.

Honor box vending is a great idea. Psychological studies have shown that people are almost always willing to pay the full, or nearly full, amount of money for honor box items. This is especially true if the people who are customers know you and feel a personal connection to you.

It depends. There's usually a lot of driving involved and that may cancel out any sales (after loss of product). It depends on how many are already in your area.

You could try but I wouldn't sink a lot of money into this venture. I would try different businesses especially those with Cameras to find the best location.

It's not something I would try. There is too much opportunity to lose money from people taking snacks and not paying for them. I work for a company where people sometimes put fund-raising candy in the lounge with a sign asking buyers to leave their contribution in an envelope. Generally, at least some items are taken without payment.

its quite profitable for me, probably the most profitable form of vending in terms of return-on-investment as long as you price your products high enough to account for losses. price all items at $1.00 you will do good

Honor boxes can make you a little bit of extra money. You do however run the risk of people taking your products and not paying.

We have one at work. It is being taken away because too many people take food without paying. I don't think its a good idea, a regular vending machine is better, in my opinion.

It really depends on your work force. The selection and availability is usually great but will they pay? You are accountable for all items in the box.

Depending on the area of where the vending is to be in, you have to have a good faith in the local residents. A heavy populated area can be a danger zone, victim to a break in can cause the business to loose a lot of money. If the business is a big profit business then don't attempt!
