In general Home Depot carpets are basic and average in workmanship. However if one was to purchase this type of Home Depot cafrpeting when it is on sale I believe that the value for the money would be very good. I wouldnt pat list price for the carpeting at HomeDepot.
My family and I carpeted our entire house in Home Depot carpet and were very pleased. We aren't pleased with the service, but that I assume is more of a local problem than a nationwide problem. I think Hope Depot is a fine place to get carpet and it is reasonably priced.
If you buy it off the roll it will last about 5 years with little traffic. If you special order it will last as long as you keep it clean, watch the spills. I have bought wool carpeting and it has lasted 35 years. This was in a bedroom. Do some research and which blend wears well.
the carpet is the same no matter where u go. however they do have some carpet makers that deal with only home depot. i would watch out for them. if it were me id go with name brands like mohawk dont be scared of the name they all make carpet in all price rages just ask to see only mohawk
In my experience, carpeting purchased at Home Depot is just as good as that purchased in many carpet stores. The real secret to carpeting, however, is in the purchase of the padding. Your carpet will seem plusher and last longer if you buy high quality padding, which is also available at Home Depot.
As with anything it depends what the quality is. home depot overall has a good selection of carpet to choose from. price is usually a good indicator as to the quality and workmanship that goes into the product. Go for something mid to high range if you want it to last for years
